During the demonstration, activists like writer and journalist Narayan Wagle and writer Yug Pathak who were present in the protest urged the government to focus on the control and prevention of COVID-19 rather than on elections at the moment. The activists carried various placards and banners with phrases, targeted against the government like “Free Health Care, Nationalization of Hospitals,” “Corpses on top of corpses are piling up, and you are asking for votes,” “Oxygen and vaccines are needed, not ballot papers,” and “We need vaccine.”
