Dengue, coronavirus infection see a fresh surge in Kavre

KAVREPALANCHOWK, April 2: Infections of dengue and coronavirus have recurred in Kavrepalanchowk district after a hiatus of a few months. Seven people got coronavirus after three months.

KAVREPALANCHOWK, April 2: Infections of dengue and coronavirus have recurred in Kavrepalanchowk district after a hiatus of a few months. Seven people got coronavirus after three months.


Similarly, cases of dengue fever are reported in the district again after five months.

The District Health Office informed that dengue infection was confirmed in a 51-year old woman from Panchkhal-3. She has been receiving treatment at home under observation of a health worker.


Chief of the District Health Office, Purushottam Sedhai said the health workers were kept on high alert in order to make the public aware about these diseases.


Dengue fever is recorded at Panchkhal after three years. The dengue patients suffer from high fever, severe headache, joint pain, rashes, nausea, stomach ache, bleeding gum, according to Sedhai.


While conducting tests among 18 persons for Covid-19, seven persons tested positive in the district. The coronavirus was detected from Banepa Municipality-3, Panauti Municipality-2 and Namobuddha Municipality-2.
