Development of Lumbini in top priority: Minister Chaudhary

RUPANDEHI, March 9: The government of province no 5 has put sustainable development of Lumbini in its top priority. 


Minister for Physical Planning and Infrastructure of province no 5, Baijanath Chaudhary, said that the provincial government has put sustainable development of Lumbini area and its archeological importance in top priority in its policy and programme, which is going to be formulated soon. 


Talking to Rastriya Samachar Samiti, Minister Chaudhary said that the provincial government would carry out activities to increase number of tourists and their stay in Lumbini.

He further said that Swargadwari of Pyuthan would be developed as a religious tourism site and initiatives would be taken to attract tourists in Pyuthan. 


Minister Chaudhary said that Bardiya National Park could be one of the destinations attracting tourists, adding Lumbini, Bardiya and Pyuthan would be developed as the 'tourism hub'. RSS
