Dhanusha Court remands KMG Chairman Sirohiya in custody for three days

KATHMANDU, May 22: The District Court, Dhanusha has granted permission to the police to detain Kantipur Media Group’s (KMG) Chairman Kailash Sirohiya for three days.

KATHMANDU, May 22: The District Court, Dhanusha has granted permission to the police to detain Kantipur Media Group’s (KMG) Chairman Kailash Sirohiya for three days.


A single bench of District Court Judge Churaman Khadka allowed him to be detained for three days for investigation.

Following an arrest warrant issued by the Dhanusha District Court, police apprehended Sirohiya on Tuesday and brought him to Janakpur. The police presented him at the Dhanusa District Court on Wednesday morning to seek judicial custody from the court.


When presenting him to the court, the police requested five days for investigation. However, the court granted only three days.
