Dhanusha District Court remands KMG Chairman Sirohiya for three more days in custody

JANAKPURDHAM, May 27: The District Court of Dhanusha has remanded Kailash Sirohiya, chairman of Kantipur Media Group, for an additional three days in judicial custody.

JANAKPURDHAM, May 27: The District Court of Dhanusha has remanded Kailash Sirohiya, chairman of Kantipur Media Group, for an additional three days in judicial custody. This is the third time the court has extended his remand for three days.


A single bench of Judge Yaduraj Sharma at the Dhanusha District Court extended Sirohiya’s judicial custody for three more days following a preliminary hearing. Sirohiya, who was arrested last Tuesday, has already had his custody extended twice. Police had sought a five-day remand on Monday.

Sirohiya was admitted to Kavya Hospital in Janakpur on Friday and was taken to the court in an ambulance. Advocates Binod Sharma, Raman Karn, Dinesh Tripathi, and Kishor Paudel represented Sirohiya in court.
