KATHMANDU, Sept 21: Wish HR Solutions, a recruitment company, finds itself embroiled in a legal quagmire as the Department of Foreign Employment has filed a fraud case against its directors, namely Tulsi Prasad Shrestha, Lal Bahadur Pulami, Amrit Shrestha, and Fadindra Koirala. The charges allege a staggering fraud amounting to nearly Rs 40 million.

The basis for this legal action stems from a complaint submitted to the Foreign Employment Tribunal, citing that the aforementioned directors orchestrated a scam that affected 43 individuals to the tune of Rs 38,228,498. According to Kaviraj Upreti, the department's director, this substantial sum was ostensibly collected from individuals seeking foreign employment opportunities in countries including Poland, Croatia, Japan, Qatar, and the United States.

The case was brought to light after these hopeful job seekers were not dispatched for their foreign employment assignments, and their hard-earned money was not returned. In response to these grievances, the Department of Foreign Employment has not only initiated legal proceedings but also decided to offer 50 percent compensation to the victims who were left in dire straits due to this alleged deception. In a significant move, the department has also revoked the license of the recruitment agency.
