The Nepali Congress said that they wouldn't accept a decision where they hadn't participated. In turn, local leaders of the party accused the government of boasting and misusing two third majority in the province.

To avoid any clashes, police have been deployed in the city. Yesterday, the provincial assembly held an election for the same. The Nepal Communist Party's parliamentarians voted for the proposal and met the two-third majority of 38 votes out of 53 parliamentarians.
