Discussion on principles and priorities of Appropriation Bill to begin in HoR from today

KATHMANDU, March 14: The House of Representatives (HoR) is set to commence discussions on the principles and priorities of the Appropriation Bill for the fiscal year 2024/25 in its meeting today.

The HoR is sitting at 11AM today. In the possible agenda of the meeting released by the General Secretary of the Federal Parliament, Padma Prasad Pandey, it is mentioned that the principles and priorities of the Appropriation Bill for the fiscal year 2024/25 will be discussed (except the tax proposal).


Earlier in the HoR meeting, Dr Prakash Sharan Mahat submitted the principles and priorities of the Appropriation Bill for the fiscal year 2024/25 With the change in the power equation, he has become the outgoing finance minister.


Speaker Devraj Ghimire informed that a date has been set for discussions regarding the principles and priorities of the appropriation bill from March 4. However, after the power coalition has changed and the cabinet has been reorganized, the discussion is going to be held from today.


Minister for Federal Affairs and General Administration Minister Bhanu Bhakta Joshi has an agenda to present the Federal Civil Service Bill, 2080 BS in today's HoR meeting.
