Do not break up Province No 5, cautions UML chair Oli

LUMBINI, Nov 19: CPN-UML Chairman and former Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has said that the Province No 5 should not be fragmented.


Talking in a press meet at Gautam Buddha Airport in Bhairahawa today, leader Oli said that no people were demanding for splitting the Province No 5 and therefore it does not have any rationale behind it.

The UML chairman further said that some forces were deliberately working out to divide the province aimed at separating the Tarai from hills, adding that it was the plot aimed at dividing the sovereignty.


Chair Oli urged all not to think on fragmenting the province as it has a harmony within it.


In another context, chair Oli clarified that the naturalized citizenship certificate holders will not be eligible for constitutional body chief, arguing no country in the world was practicing it. RSS
