KATHMANDU, Nov 28: Doctors at Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital are assessing the health condition of Yagya Raj Panta, father of Nirmala Panta, a 13-year girl who was raped and murdered in Kanchanpur in July.
Doctors involved in his treatment said it will take two more days to collect all the reports of Yagya Raj, who is reportedly suffering from psychiatric problems.
Yagya Raj, who was taken to TUTH on November 26, started developing symptoms of mental disorder amidst days-long struggles he had been waging to seek justice for his daughter.

“He is under observation at the psychiatric department,” said senior psychiatrist Dr Saroj Ojha adding, “We can divulge the details of his health condition in two days,” he said.
The doctor said most of the reports of tests and examinations will be available within two days.
Yagya Raj was brought to Kathmandu for treatment after his mental problems got more acute. Yaga Raj and his wife Durga started 24-hour sit-in protest in front of Kanchanpur District Administration Office from November 11. In course of protest for justice for their daughter, Yagya Raj fell ill.
Nirmala, the 13-year-old girl from Bhimdutta Municipality-2 of Kanchanpur, went missing on July 26 after she had gone to her friend Roshani Bam's house earlier that day. Her body was found the next day in a sugarcane field. Postmortem report revealed that the teenager had been raped and strangled to death.
However, the government is yet to find the persons behind the heinous act.
