Health condition of DPM Shrestha improves, expected to be discharged from hospital in 3 to 4 days

KATHMANDU, Dec 7: The health condition of Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister Narayankaji Shrestha is improving following a heart surgery on Tuesday. According to doctors, his condition is stable, and he is gradually returning to normal health.

KATHMANDU, Dec 7: The health condition of Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister Narayankaji Shrestha is improving following a heart surgery on Tuesday. According to doctors, his condition is stable, and he is gradually returning to normal health.


Home Minister Shrestha was admitted to Shahid Gangalal National Heart Center at Bansbari due to a heart problem, where he underwent coronary angioplasty. Currently, he is being monitored in the Coronary Care Unit (CCU).

Sureshkaji Shrestha, the personal secretary of Minister Shrestha, provided an update on his health, stating, "The minister's health is currently stable and recovering. As per the doctor’s advice, he will remain in the hospital for another three to four days before being discharged."


This is not the first time Deputy Prime Minister Shrestha has faced heart issues; a previous incident occurred during his visit to China, where a stent was placed.
