The silence of various organizations formed to protect the rights and interests of doctors within 24 hours of the incident has further fueled anger among the medical community.

Dr Prasant Bidari, one of the victims of the assault, expressed his concerns about the safety of doctors, particularly when the perpetrators appear to have police protection. He stated that they were attacked without any apparent reason and in a well-planned manner, creating an unsafe working environment for doctors.

The assault targeted Thapa and Bidari who were on duty at Sancho Hospital in Hetauda. Thapa suffered serious facial injuries, including fractured facial bones, and is currently in Kathmandu for surgery.
