KATHMANDU, May 10: The Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) has demanded the parliament be informed about the actions taken so far in the fake Bhutanese refugee scam.
Speaking in the meeting of parliament held on Wednesday, RPP Chairman Rajendra Lingden said that the scam is a crime against the state. He said that it is shameful that the names of former deputy prime ministers and home ministers are embroiled in the scam.

He said, "Not only can anyone imagine people involved in such a heinous crime to be exempted, no one should do anything to weaken them."
But recently, arguments such as whether the police should not investigate or report to the CIAA have started coming, and Lingden has asked concerned stakeholders not to make this mistake.
He said that there were many suspicions about the police investigation and the meeting of the top leaders was also linked to it.
Lingden said, "Top leaders, we want to make a demand that the parliament be informed about the progress so far in the fake Bhutanese refugee scam to make it clear that the government has no wrong intentions."
