DPM Shrestha directs security officials in Madhesh Province to work with high morale, firm determination

JANAKPURDHAM, May 1: Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Home Narayankaji Shrestha has instructed the Nepal Police personnel to work with the spirit of police administration to serve the nation and people.


Talking to the media in Janakpurdham on Sunday after attending a security related meeting, Shrestha asked the security agencies to work with high morale and firm determination to curb the criminal activities.

He also asked all sides to work with the zero-tolerance policy on crime control, drug abuse, violence against women and caste-based discrimination.


"Collective efforts of all of us are needed to curb irregularities and corruption. I ask you all to take firm stands for the justice of loan sharking victims, women, Dalit and marginalized class and community," the Deputy Prime Minister said.


On the occasion, Home Secretary Binod Prakash Singh, Inspector General of Nepal Police Basanta Bahadur Kunwar, Chief of Armed Police Force, Nepal Raju Aryal, Chief of Madhesh Province Police Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Janak Bhattarai, Chief District Officers of all eight district administration offices from Madhes Province and other officials were present, CDO of Dhanusha Kashiraj Dahal said.
