Dr Tripathi honored with Dr Balram Joshi Suyogya Puraskar

Dr Balaram Joshi Gyan Bigyan Rastriya Puraskar Pratisthan organized an award ceremony on Thursday in Kathmandu. Amidst an event in the Nepal Tourism Board hall, Prof Dr Bashudev Tripathi was awarded the highest honor -- Dr Balram Joshi Suyogya Puraskar -- for his contribution in Nepal’s education field. Dr Tripathi has been involved in teaching for more than three decades, and equally known for his contribution to Nepali literature.

Dr Balaram Joshi Gyan Bigyan Rastriya Puraskar Pratisthan organized an award ceremony on Thursday in Kathmandu. Amidst an event in the Nepal Tourism Board hall, Prof Dr Bashudev Tripathi was awarded the highest honor -- Dr Balram Joshi Suyogya Puraskar -- for his contribution in Nepal’s education field. Dr Tripathi has been involved in teaching for more than three decades, and equally known for his contribution to Nepali literature.

The press statement by the organization quoted Dr Tripathi saying, "I feel happy to get an award for my teaching profession." Likewise, Senior lawyer Kusum Shrestha received Shree Krishna Prasad Pant Puraskar and Shree Chandra Kumari-Himalaya Raj Joshi Swasthya Sewa Kosh was awarded to Manav Sewa Ashram. 


Each award comprised a cash prize of Rs 25,101. The Dr Balaram Joshi Gyan Bigyan Rastriya Puraskar is presented annually to the personalities who have dedicated their life to science and contributing to the society. The late Dr Upendra Devkota was also awarded Dr Balaram Joshi Gyan Rastriya Puraskar a month prior his demise.
