KATHMANDU, August 22: Senior culture expert Dr Satya Mohan Joshi has been honored for his contribution to Nepali literature and culture through his creations. The Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation draped a shawl over him amid a programme in the on Tuesday.
Speaking at the event, Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Jitendra Narayan Dev praised Joshi as an active figure, who has contributed by conducting research into Nepali language, literature and culture.
Likewise, Joshi thanked for recognising his contribution, while viewing that it would heighten pride and prestige of Nepal and the Nepalis alike once variation of Nepali art and culture is exposed to the international level.

Meanwhile, Banira Giri, Parshu Pardhan, Krishna Gautam, Nagendra Raj Sharma and Basudev Munal were honoured with the 'Mahakabi Devkota Award'.
Likewise, Prof Dr Khelawan Sah, Prof Hiranya Lal Shrestha and Modanath Prasid were awarded the 'Pushpa Lal National Award'.
Also, Rameshwor Mandal Khatwe and Mithai Devi Bishwokarma bagged the 'Bhagat Sarbajit Manab Maryada Rastriya Award', while the 'Rastriya Prativa Award' was awarded to Harihar Sharma, Sundar Krishna Joshi, Gobinda Lal Singh Dangol and Tara Nanda Mishra.
Under music and drama genre, the 'Regional Prativa Award' was awarded to Parshuram Rai, Tirtha Kumari Thapa, Menkaji Gurung, Kamal Kumar Bishwokarma and Dipendra Prasad Dahal.
Likewise, under language and literature genre, the award was given to Ganga Subedi, Ruku Karki, Abinash Shrestha, Srijan Lamsal and Hemanta Joshi.
Under fine arts genre, Bikram Timsina, Ratan Kumar Rai, Bhim Prasad Sharma, Dhorche Gurung Lama and Nanda Kali Rana bagged the award.
Similarly, under cultural genre, the award was given to Tara Bahadur Budhathoki, Bijaya Datta, Indra Bahadur Gurung, Bam Kumari Budha and Dina Nath Baral. RSS
