Drunken man sets wife and daughters on fire in Chabahil, attempts self-immolation

KATHMANDU, June 5: A man set his wife and three daughters on fire after dousing them with kerosene in Chabahil, Kathmandu.

KATHMANDU, June 5: A man set his wife and three daughters on fire after dousing them with kerosene in Chabahil, Kathmandu. The man, identified as 55-year-old Chanla Bahadur Singh, attempted to commit self-immolation following the act.


According to police reports, Singh, in an intoxicated state, poured kerosene on his family members in Saraswati Nagar, Chabahil, before setting them ablaze. He then tried to set himself on fire.

All victims, including Singh, are currently receiving treatment for their burn injuries at Nepal Cleft & Burn Center in Kirtipur. The police are investigating the incident further.
