EC asks voters to abide by the rules while voting

KATHMANDU, May 13: The Election Commission (EC) is holding local level elections across the country on Friday.

KATHMANDU, May 13: The Election Commission (EC) is holding local level elections across the country on Friday.


People will vote from 7 AM to 5 PM to elect new local level representatives. In view of the election day, the EC has asked people to follow certain rules to conduct the election in a peaceful manner.

According to EC, candidates cannot appear in attire that might showcase the party’s resemblance or symbol. Person or official authorized by the EC can enter the polling centers. “People other than those authorized cannot enter the voting centers,” EC said. 


The EC has asked voters to not bring mobile phones, cameras, matchsticks, lighter or any other flammable substance, acid, any kind of weapon, sample ballot paper and any object with sign or symbol of any political party while visiting the polling centers.
