KATHMANDU, Nov. 1: The Election Commission (EC) has urged all political parties and candidates to take part in the nomination process of the second phase of the House of Representatives and State Assemblies in a peaceful and encouraging manner on Thursday.
At a news conference organized Wednesday, Chief Election Commissioner Dr Ayodhee Prasad Yadav urged all to make the nomination process a historic.

Entire preparations for the nomination have been completed, Dr Yadav said.
"The nomination process shall begin at 10:00 am and will continue till 5:00 pm in the offices of the chief election officers and offices of returning officers, and the EC urges all political parties and candidates for their presence in the nomination registration process," Dr Yadav added.
The nomination of 128 constituencies of House of Representatives and 256 constituencies of State Assemblies in 45 districts would be held on Thursday. The elections to the House of Representatives and State Assemblies for the second phase would be held on December 7.
On the occasion, Dr Yadav said that security provisions have been well managed for all the election-related activities.
