The upper house, however, has not yet got the full shape with the government failing to nominate the remaining three members owing to differences among the ruling coalition.
Upon receiving the poll results, President Bhandari thanked all the commissioners for holding three sets of elections in a peaceful manner.
"This has now helped to proceed with the parliamentary activities of the federal setup," said President Bhandari.
Election commissioners Ila Sharma, Narendra Dahal, Ishwori Prasad Paudyal and Sudheer Kumar Shah and election secretary Begendra Sharma Paudyal were present at the results submission ceremony.
The EC is yet to submit the final results of lower house election to the president. The election body has set Monday as the deadline for the proportional representation seat-winning parties to submit the list of candidates. If they fail to submit an inclusive name list, the election body will give them two more days to revise the list.
The EC plans to submit results of all sets of elections to the president within Wednesday.
