Likewise, applications could be filed from August 29 to September 1 to replace the name of those deceased ones and those quitting Nepali citizenship. Earlier, the EC was criticized for not working in this aspect.
The EC has already decided to allow Nepali citizens to cast a vote for the upcoming federal and provincial assembly polls if they turn 18 years a day before the elections (November 19) but their names should be listed in the electoral roll.
With the completion of the voters' name list update, the final name list of the voters for these polls would be announced on September 16.
