KATHMANDU, Nov 16: Minister for Education, Dhaniram Poudel, today said education can only pave the path of prosperity for Nepal.
Inaugurating a three-day workshop on world class universities in Nepal, Minister Poudel argued only education can fulfill the vision of a prosperous Nepal.
Call to make library technology friendly
There is need for 'National Engineering and Technology Academy' for providing quality and employment-based education, the Minister said, adding that the Ministry was working for establishing such academy.
At the workshop, Prof Rajendradhwoj Joshi presented a working paper on 'Academy's role in prosperity' and noted the necessity for a world class university in Nepal. He claimed that a world class university academy would provide quality education, new material production and service delivery.
The workshop is being participated by professors from Singapore, India, South Korea and Malaysia. They pledged support for the campaign for opening a world class university in Nepal.
The workshop is being held with an objective for establishment of a world class university academy with support of the Asian Development Bank (ADB). The Ministry has already obtained 200 ropanis of land in Chitlang of Makawanpur for opening the academy. RSS
