UDAYAPUR, Sept 2: Three people of the same family were brutally murdered on Friday afternoon in Mainamaini Godhatar of Udayapur Belka municipality-7.
According to Jayakumar Rai, Ward Chairman of Belka Municipality-8, a 40-year-old Nar Bahadur Basnet killed his own brother Rajkumar Basnet, 40, his sister-in-law Sarita Basnet, 30, and nephew Sujan Basnet,12, with a machete. According to him, the incident took place on Friday at 12:30 PM.

On his way to work in the farm, Nar Bahadur hit them after a fight on the road. Chief of District Police Office, Udayapur, SP Gyanendra Phuyal confirmed the incident. He said that further details of the incident are awaited.
A team of security personnel has been sent to the incident site for necessary investigation.
