KATHMANDU, Oct 16: The Non-Resident Nepali Association (NRNA) is holding election for new executive committee in Kathmandu on Monday.
According to Shiva Rijal, chief election officer, voting will be held between 1 pm and 6 pm. He also added that registration of candidates started from Sunday -- the second day of 8th International Conference of NRNA. “We started candidacy registration process a bit late due to delay in publication of voters’ list,” he added.

Voting list was supposed to be published at 11 am on Sunday. However, the list could be published at 4 pm only. Candidacy registration started from 5 pm. The candidacy registration process was going on when Republica went to press.
Meanwhile, 8th International Conference of NRNA endorsed “Vision 2020 and Beyond” document with some amendments as proposed by NRNA President Shesh Ghale.
Altogether 1,797 representatives from 77 countries are participating in the conference.
NRNA will elect a president, a vice president, a female vice president, general secretary, secretary, treasurer, regional coordinators, assistant coordinators, female coordinators and other office bearers, among others.
