KATHMANDU, May 23: The Embassy of Pakistan organized the inauguration ceremony of “Pakistan-Nepal Friendship Park” at Bansbari Club, adjacent to Shahid Gangalal Hospital, Kathmandu, on Tuesday.
Ambassador of Pakistan to Nepal Abrar H Hashmi, was the Chief Guest on the occasion. Ward Chairman of Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC)-3 Prem Thapa, President of Kathmandu Lion Club Annanta Bhetwal, former captain of Nepal National Cricket Team Gyanedera Malla and Chairperson of District Coordination Committee Santosh Budathoki and prominent media representatives, among others, were present in the handover ceremony.

Addressing the event, Ambassador of Pakistan to Nepal Hashmi appreciated the partnership with KMC and HRS Adventures Limited in developing the Pakistan-Nepal Friendship Park in Kathmandu. He stated that this park stands as a symbol of the enduring friendship between the two nations and reflect the strong bonds that exist between the people of Pakistan and Nepal.
Ambassador Hashmi also expressed his heartfelt thanks to the administrator and Municipality of Kathmandu, the government and people of Nepal for giving the Embassy an opportunity to contribute to the development of this beautiful park.
Addressing the event, Special Guests expressed their gratitude to the Government of Pakistan for gifting the people of Nepal ‘Open Air Gym’ facility. They also expressed their hope that the park will serve as a sign of lasting friendship and cooperation between the two countries.
The Pakistan-Nepal Friendship Park is dedicated to the shared aspirations and ending friendship between people of Pakistan and Nepal. The Park would serve as a common facility for all ages and people from all walks of life conveniently located in the Bansbari Club.
