Pak embassy inaugurates Pakistan-Nepal friendship park in Budhanilkantha municipality

KATHMANDU, June 8: The Embassy of Pakistan organized the inauguration ceremony of the “Pakistan-Nepal Friendship Park” at Budhanilkantha Municipality-8 in Kathmandu on Friday.

KATHMANDU, June 8: The Embassy of Pakistan organized the inauguration ceremony of the “Pakistan-Nepal Friendship Park” at Budhanilkantha Municipality-8 in Kathmandu on Friday.


Speaking on the occasion as the Chief Guest, the Ambassador of Pakistan to Nepal, Abrar H Hashmi, expressed his appreciation for the partnership with Budhanilkantha Municipality, the Lions Club of Kathmandu, and HRS Adventures Ltd in the execution of the Pakistan-Nepal Friendship Park in Kathmandu. He extended his deepest appreciation to the community workers, social workers, and all those who supported this initiative.

Ambassador Hashmi highlighted that the park stands as a symbol of the enduring friendship between the two nations and reflects the strong bonds between the people of Pakistan and Nepal. “The bilateral relations between the two countries are built on a foundation of trust and mutual respect and are enriched by cultural exchanges and collaborative efforts in various fields, including education, health, environment, and medicine. This park is a testament to their commitment to working together for the betterment of humanity,” a statement quotes Ambassador Hashmi as saying.


The ceremony was attended by Suman Tamang, Chairman of Budhanilkantha Municipality-8, Kathmandu; Anita Lama, Deputy Mayor of Budhanilkantha Municipality; Hari Prasad Dahal, Governor of the Lions Club; Tulsi Ram Aryal, Senior Administrative Officer of Budhanilkantha; and other social and prominent media representatives.


Addressing the event, the special guests expressed their gratitude to the Government of Pakistan for giving the people of Nepal an ‘Open Air Gym’ facility. They also expressed their hope that the park will serve as a lasting symbol of friendship and cooperation between the two countries.


The Pakistan-Nepal Friendship Park is dedicated to the shared aspirations and friendship between the people of Pakistan and Nepal. It will serve as a healthy facility for all ages and people from all walks of life.
