ITAHARI, July 4: Of those arrested on the charge of possessing fake certificates, three 'fake' doctors were released on bail while the other was sent to jail after he failed to furnish the demanded bail.
Three of those doctors arrested by the Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) of the Nepal Police on the charge of possessing fake certificates have been released on bail in Morang district. One doctor facing lawsuit in Sunsari has been sent to jail after he could not furnish bail as demanded.
Those released on bail are Lili Singh, Abdul Kalam and Sanjaya Kumar. The district prosecutors had filed a lawsuit against them demanding a maximum punishment along with a fine equivalent to the properties earned during their service period.

According to record keeper of Morang district Nawaraj Dulal, Singh, Kalam and Das were released on bail after they submitted Rs 3.5 million, Rs 1.3 million and Rs 2.3 million respectively. All those three who were released on bail were working in private clinics.
Similarly, Manish Aryal, chief doctor of Family Planning Office, Itahari, Sunsari, was sent to the Eastern Regional Prison, Jhumka after he could not submit Rs 3.225 million bail.
A single bench of district judge Bharat Lamsal issued a verdict on sending him to jail after he could not furnish the bail.
Aryal has done MBBS by submitting a fake certificate issued from India and taken a medical license from Nepal Medical Council.
