POKHARA, Nov 27: Police have arrested a 39-year-old man from Pokhara on charge of raping his own daughter.
According to Kaski Police spokesperson, DSP Subash Hamal, the man had been harassing and raping the 13-year-old girl for the past four years. “The crime was exposed as the man raped the victim at a hotel in Pokhara two days ago,” Hamal added. The identity of both the perpetrator and the victim has not been revealed as per the Guidelines on Privacy and Confidentiality of the Supreme Court.
Father arrested on charge of raping daughter
The accused confessed the crime during a preliminary interrogation, according to the police.
The man has been kept under judicial custody after the Kaski District Court permitted seven more days of extension. “Further investigation is underway,” Hamal added.
