Father demands justice for his son's death

MAHENDRANAGAR, August 16: A bereaved father, Mane Jagri, has appealed to the local authorities to find and punish the culprits involved in murdering his son, Dambar.



Dambar Jagri's dead body was found on the premises of Siddhanath Science Campus in Mahendranagar on Saturday morning. It was found that Dambar's throat was slit in the same campus where he was studying Bachelors of Science in the 4th year. 



Bhim Bahadur Dahal, spokesperson of the District Police Office, Kanchanpur, said that Dambar's father has filed a complaint demanding punishment for the perpetrators involved in killing his son. Dahal said that police are investigating the murder case with the help of police dogs as well.



Police have currently detained Surendra Singh Rawat, Suraj Dhagaura and Dinesh Lothyal, who work in the campus canteen, for further investigation. Dahal said that the police will also talk to the students and campus administration regarding the incident. 



After the incident, various students' unions, teachers' unions and District Youth Committee of Kanchanpur have expressed their condolences and have also demanded the police to take strict action against the culprits as soon as possible.

Dambar's last rites were performed on Monday.
