ILAM, Jan 9: A father killed his own son in Mai Municipality-6 of Ilam on Monday. The son was killed by a knife thrown by the father during a family dispute.
A local, Dilkumar Rai, 36, killed his 19-year-old son Jeewan Rai, according to the District Police Office.

On Monday evening around 7 PM, the father hit his son with a knife. DSP Prakash Jabegu of the District Police Office, Ilam, said that the son died while undergoing treatment at B&C Hospital in Jhapa.
Dilkumar was taken into custody after the incident. There was a dispute between them due to drinking alcohol.
