KATHMANDU, Feb 7: Police have arrested popular fight director Rajendra Khadgi from Thamel, Kathmandu on Thursday on human trafficking charges.

Jivan Kumar Shrestha, spokesperson of Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) of Nepal Police, said they arrested Khadgi for investigation after complaints were registered accusing him of sending several people illegally to South Korea by taking huge amount of money.
Chief of the CIB Puskar Karki said that the complainants have accused Khadgi of sending 11 individuals to South Korea after charging each of them between Rs 1 million and Rs 1.5 million. Karki also informed that CIB has also received human trafficking complaints against other film artists. Karki said since human trafficking is cross-border crime, police in the destination country are also investigating the charges.
