The resource guarantee from the Ministry of Finance allows the health ministry to start the process of construction of hospitals without worrying about any budget shortfall.

The finance ministry has given its consent to the health ministry to take forward the multi-year contract to construct the hospitals with 5, 10 and 15-bed capacities.

As part of implementation of the policy and programs and budget of the current fiscal year 2020/21 that include a program to build at least one hospital in each local unit, the finance ministry has expedited the process to build 396 primary hospitals across the country.

The two ministries plan to lay the foundation of those hospitals on November 30.
