Fire breaks out in a tin shed in Bafal, five members of a family injured

KATHMANDU, May 5: A fire erupted in a tin shed in Ward No-17, Bafal, of the Lalitpur Metropolitan City at around 10 AM on Sunday. Among those injured are three children from a family.

KATHMANDU, May 5: A fire erupted in a tin shed in Ward No-17, Bafal, of the Lalitpur Metropolitan City at around 10 AM on Sunday. Among those injured are three children from a family.


According to Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Shekhar Khanal of the District Police Range, Lalitpur, the fire broke out from an area where mobil was stored inside the tin shed, resulting in injuries to five family members.

The injured include children aged 3, 8, and 15 years, as well as Sanjay Giri and Rupa Giri, both around 35 years old. All five individuals who are from the same family are currently receiving treatment at KIST Medical College and Teaching Hospital.


To contain the fire, five fire engines were deployed, successfully bringing the fire under control. SSP Shekhar Khanal mentioned that the condition of the three children remains critical.
