Fire destroys property worth Rs 23.2 million in Dolpa

DOLPA, Jan 11: Property worth Rs 23.2 million rupees was destroyed by fire at Mudkechula rural municipality-9 of Dolpa district.

DOLPA, Jan 11: Property worth Rs 23.2 million rupees was destroyed by fire at Mudkechula rural municipality-9 of Dolpa district. 


The property was destroyed after fire gutted eight houses and a temple at the locality on Wednesday night, said Sub-Inspector of Police at the District Police Office, Dolpa, Yam Bahadur Malla.

Police said that property worth Rs 10 million was turned into ashes when the fire destroyed 500-year-old Masta Temple as well as other valuable idols. 


Similarly, the fire has destroyed houses belonging to Nanda Kumari Budha, Sundra Budha, Pampha Budha, Pipala Rokaya, Ram Bahadur Budha, Shanti Budha, Daljit Budha and Karna Bahadur Budha. 


The fire started from Wednesday evening was brought under the control only after 14 hours. RSS
