Five arrested with drugs in Jumla

JUMLA, June 27: District Police Office Jumla has arrested two people with 860 grams of brown sugar. Those arrested are Narendra Sarki, approximately 19 years old, and Bishal Sarki, 18 years old, of Gutichhour Rural Municipality-5, Jumla.

JUMLA, June 27: District Police Office Jumla has arrested two people with 860 grams of brown sugar. Those arrested are Narendra Sarki, approximately 19 years old, and Bishal Sarki, 18 years old, of Gutichhour Rural Municipality-5, Jumla.  


A police team deployed from District Police Office Jumla and a joint police team including Narcotics Bureau arrested them with brown sugar from Jugad river near Karnali Institute of Health Sciences located in Chandannath Municipality-2 of Jumla.

They were consuming drugs. Drugs were found from the top pocket of Narendra Sarki's jacket. They are being investigated further. 


Similarly, on Saturday as well, police in Jumla arrested three people. Khagendra Bhandari, 48, resident of Jumla Chandannath Municipality-4, Hareram Khatri, 46, resident of Sinja Rural Municipality-2, and Lal Bahadur Rokaya , 29, resident of Sinja Rural Municipality-6 from a tea shop run by Rajkali Rawat in Bharatibada, Chandannath Municipality-4, Jumla by plainclothes police team from Drug Control Bureau Surkhet. Chief of District Police Office Jumla Prahlad Karki said that 930 mg of drugs were recovered from them. They have been remanded for day (four) by the District Court Jumla and are being further investigated.
