KATHMANDU: Five new cases of the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) have been confirmed in the Kathmandu Valley, according to the Ministry of Health and Population.
Speaking at a regular virtual press briefing, Dr Jageshwor Gautam, spokesperson for the ministry, said that five new cases of COVID-19 have been confirmed in the Kathmandu Valley in the last 24 hours.
Of these five infected, two are male patients, while three others are females. “Four new cases are in Kathmandu district, and one is from Lalitpur district,” said Dr Gautam.

In the last 24 hours, a total of 451 COVID-19 infections were identified, while 67 patients were discharged from different hospitals across the country.
As of today, Nepal has reported 6,211 COVID-19 cases of which 19 have succumbed to the disease. Also, 1,041 patients have already recovered from the infection.
