POKHARA, Feb 19: National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) chairman Anup Raj Sharma has expressed grave concern over the increasing adulteration and sale of substandard daily essentials.
Inaugurating the two-day regional conference on business and human rights organized by the NHRC West Region Office, Pokhara here on Saturday, Chairman Sharma said food adulteration and unhygienic consumables has even restricted a person's right to life.

He called on all to be conscious regarding the protection of human rights rather than engaging in the game of accusation and counter-accusation.
On the occasion, the NHRC Regional Office chief Surya Bhadur Deuja and president of the Pokhara Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Shiva Shankar Palikhe jointly presented a paper entitled 'Business and Human Rights'.
