KATHMANDU, Oct 1: Ford Nepal, in association with Round Table Nepal and Ford Volunteers, has built nine toilets at Shila Devi School of Ratmate, Nuwakot. Ford Nepal, authorized distributor of Ford cars in Nepal, provided this assistance of community service as part of Ford Global Caring month 2018, according to a statement issued by the company.
Gender-friendly toilets improve girls attendance at schools
Shila Devi School is one of two schools in Ratmate which were destroyed in the 2015s. "Round Table Nepal, an NGO, has helped rebuild the school block. Ford Volunteers also carried out awareness and educational programs for over 350 students of Shila Devi School on importance of sanitation and hygiene, and also distributed sanitation and hygiene kits along with stationeries ," the company said in the statement.
