Foreign Minister Saud leaving for US on October 29

KATHMANDU, Oct 28: Foreign Minister Narayan Prakash Saud is scheduled to leave for the United States of America for an official visit on October 29.

KATHMANDU, Oct 28: Foreign Minister Narayan Prakash Saud is scheduled to leave for the United States of America for an official visit on October 29.


During the visit, Minister Saud is scheduled to have a bilateral meeting with the US Secretary of State Antony J Blinken on October 30, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said.

Also on the occasion, he will meet with Administrator of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) Samantha Power, Chief Executive Officer of the Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC) Alice P Albright and other high-ranking officials of the US government.


As informed, Minister Saud will also call on Co-Chair of the US Congressional Nepal Caucus Mike Kelly on the occasion.


In course of the visit, the Foreign Minister is scheduled to participate in the United States Institute of Peace Programme, interact with Nepali-US business community and meet with the representatives of information technology advisory network, Non-Resident Nepali Association and Nepali-US business people.


The Nepali delegation comprises Ambassador to the US, Shreedhar Khatri, senior officials at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Washington DC-based Nepali Embassy along with Chairpersons of Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry and American Chamber of Commerce.


Minister Saud is scheduled to return home on November 5 after wrapping up his visit.
