Former Assistant Minister Neupane passes away

KALIKOT, Dec 20: Former Assistant Minister for Communications and Information Technology, Yagya Raj Neupane, passed away today at the age of 65.

KALIKOT, Dec 20: Former Assistant Minister for Communications and Information Technology, Yagya Raj Neupane, passed away today at the age of 65.  


He died amidst treatment for liver complications at the Bhaktapur-based Human Organ Transplant Center this morning, according to his relative Umakant Neupane.  He had been under treatment at the Center for the past three months. He is survived by his two sons and three daughters.

Neupane had been elected the House of Representatives (HoR) member from Kalikot representing the CPN-UML during the 1994 election. He served as the Assistant Minister for Communications and Information Technology from August 26 to December 24, 1998. 


He was born in Phukot of Raskot Municipality-8 in Kalikot.
