Former deputy governor of NRB Gopal Kafle passes away

KATHMANDU, Aug 5: Former Deputy Governor of Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) Gopal Prasad Kafle passed away at 10 AM today.

KATHMANDU, Aug 5: Former Deputy Governor of Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) Gopal Prasad Kafle passed away at 10 AM today. 


Kafle was suffering from a long-term illness and was being treated at HAMS Hospital in Kathmandu.

After serving as the deputy governor of NRB for five years, Kafle was also recommended for the governorship. The committee had put his name forward along with three others for the post of the governor. 


He was a cadre and the spokesperson for NRB for a long time. Kafle is being cremated at Pashupati Aryaghat on Monday.
