SYANGJA, June 17: Former Mayor of Chapakot Municipality, Shiva Giri, died in a road accident last night. Giri, 60, died when the vehicle (Ba 15 Cha 1709) he was traveling in lost control and crashed.
The vehicle was going from Rangkhola to Syangja, when it met with an accident at Siddhartha Highway in Putlibazar-10 Rangkhola at 11 pm last night, Spokesperson at the District Police Office Syangja, Rabindra Khanal said.

Giri was a resident of Darsing in Chapakot-4. The driver of the vehicle Suraj Nepali, 32, has been taken into custody for necessary action.
