Four foreigners rescued from Larke Pass in Manang

MANANG, April 23: Four tourists visiting the district of Manang were rescued after they were taken ill due to altitude sickness in Larke Pass.

MANANG, April 23: Four tourists visiting the district of Manang were rescued after they were taken ill due to altitude sickness in Larke Pass. 


The foreigners coming to trek along the Manaslu trekking route were rescued from Bhimtang of Nason Rural Municipality-7 in the district on Monday.

Chief District Officer of Manang, Subash Kumar Lamichhane, said the tourists were rescued and sent to Kathmandu in a helicopter after basic treatment in Chame, the district headquarters of Manang.


According to CDO Lamichhane, a Nepali tour guide, four foreigners include two South African citizens and two from New Zealand. 


Likewise, CDO Lamichhane has urged foreigners to apply precautions while trekking, adding that they would fall ill due to temperature differences.
