KATHMANDU, Feb 24: The four parties of the pre-election ruling coalition are scheduled to meet again today at 5 PM. The agenda is to finalize the presidential candidate.
On Friday morning, a meeting of the top leaders of the Nepali Congress, CPN (Maoist Center), CPN (Unified Socialist) and Janata Samajwadi Party (JSP) on the same agenda lasted for three hours at Baluwatar, the official residence of the Prime Minister.

General Secretary of NC, Gagan Thapa, who participated in the meeting, said that the presidential election was discussed in the meeting. General Secretary Thapa also said that the discussion between the parties was positive.
Thapa added,“The meeting will be held again today at 5 PM. That meeting will decide the candidate for the president.”
Leaders participating in the meeting said that before the meeting in the evening, the top leaders of the four parties will hold internal discussions in their respective parties.
