KATHMANDU, June 6: Om Samaj Dental Hospital has launched a campaign to provide free ambulance services, first aid, and counseling to the needy people.
The campaign is providing free ambulance service, oxygen, beds, and food to the poor and helpless patients. Also, plans are being made to expand the service to other parts of the country. So far, the campaign has been initiated in Pokhara and Kathmandu. According to the hospital administration, the campaign will be expanded to Ramechhap, Solukhumbu, Okhaldhunga, and the surrounding districts within this week.
NAC provides free of cost service to cancer patients
The campaign is supported by former chief of Nepal Police, Sarbendra Khanal, Dr Subash Ghimire of Om Samaj Dental Hospital, activist Gyanendra Shahi, pilot Bijay lama, Karna Bahadur Shahi, advocate Sanjay Raj Adhikari, actor Nikhil Upreti, Kedar Ghimire, Dinesh Kumar Magar, and Ram Hari Sharma.
More than 1,000 people have used the free ambulance service provided by the campaign in Kathmandu. Similarly, free counseling services have been provided to 4000 COVID-19 patients.
As stated in a press release, over 400 people have been provided free ambulance service with oxygen, while 600 people have received counseling services.
