The theme for Women's Day this year (March 8) is "Invest in women: Accelerate progress," complemented by the campaign theme, "Inspire Inclusion”. In celebration of the 34th International Women’s Day in Nepal, Republica has curated a collection of 34 inspiring stories showcasing unwavering courage, resilience, and empowerment of women below the age of 34. As a seventh–grade student, she was fascinated by the Hindi TV serial 'Sara Akash' where a woman confidently piloted a fighter jet through challenges, landing it safely.
Little did she know that one day she would not only emulate the success of the brave pilot from the television serial but also become a source of pride and inspiration for the entire Karnali Province.
Rawat, at the age of 30, dedicated herself to realizing her dream of becoming a pilot. In pursuit of this goal, she moved to Johannesburg, South Africa, in 2010.
Rawat proudly operates international flights for Nepal Airlines Corporation, turning her childhood dream into a remarkable reality. Her story serves as an inspiration, highlighting that with determination and hardwork, dreams can achieve new heights.
