KATHMANDU, March 3: A joint panel has emerged victorious in the Free Student Union (FSU) elections held in two campuses in Bhaktapur.
The joint panel of Nepal Student Union (NSU) close to Nepali Congress and Nepal Revolutionary Students' Union aligned to Nepal Workers and Peasants Party (NWPP) won in Bhaktapur Multiple Campus with Dinesh Khadgi elected as the FSU President, Bibek Lamichane in Secretary and Milan Ganeju in Treasurer.
In Sano Thimi Campus, a joint panel of All Nepal National Independent Students Union Revolutionary, the student wing of CPN – Maoist Centre and NSU emerged victorious. Ramesh Khadka was elected the FSU President while Ram Bahadur KC was elected Secretary with Parbati Sharma getting elected as Treasurer.
Baniyani (Jhapa): FSU elections' vote counting has concluded in seven campuses of Jhapa. In the elections held in nine campuses, NSU has clinched victory in four campuses, CPN (UML) aligned All Nepal National Free Students Union (ANNFSU) in two and ANNISU Revolutionary in one campus.

NSU's Dev Kumar Taajpuriya in Gaurigunj Multiple Campus, Binod Upreti in Durga Campus, Sanjaya Rai in Kankai Campus, Biramode and Suraj Subedi in Kankadbhitta Multiple Campus were elected presidents.
In Gauadaha Mulitple Campus and Tridev Multiple Campus, ANNFSU candidates Kamal Poudyal and Laxmi Prasad Neupane were elected respectively. In Devi Campus Birtamode, ANNISUR's Padam Khadka has been elected.
Bhojpur: In Bhojpur Multiple Campus, UML – aligned ANNFSU has won all the FSU posts expect the post of secretary. ANNFSU's Prakash Singh Rai defeated NSU's Tarjan Rai by just 7 votes to clinch victory.
Kalikot: Of the four campuses in Kalikot, Nanda Devi Campus in Kotwada has been on a shutdown following disputes among the students.
Meanwhile in Motiram Science Campus, Nanda Lal Jaisi of the NSU led panel has been elected whereas in Jana Chetana Multiple Campus, Prakash Sanjyal of ANNFSU led panel has emerged victorious.
In Tila Karnali Multiple Campus – Kalikot, ANNISUR's Bhim Prasad Acharya has been elected.
Gainghat (Udayapur): NSU's Pratap Singh Rai has been elected the FSU President in Narad Adarsha Campus based at Basaha of Beltar Basaha Municipality.
In the Baruwa Campus located in district headquarters of Gainghat, NSU candidate Mahesh Khadka has been elected. RSS
