Fugitive Cooperative Manager arrested in Qatar, extradited to Nepal

GANESH BISU BANKE, Feb 10: Ganesh Sijapati, 38, the manager of Namaste Savings and Credit Cooperative Society, accused in a cooperative fraud case, has been apprehended in Qatar and extradited to Nepal through INTERPOL.

GANESH BISU BANKE, Feb 10: Ganesh Sijapati, 38, the manager of Namaste Savings and Credit Cooperative Society, accused in a cooperative fraud case, has been apprehended in Qatar and extradited to Nepal through INTERPOL.


Sijapati, a resident of Nepalgunj sub-metropolitan city-4, Ganeshpur, who had been evading charges in the cooperative fraud, was arrested by Qatari police and subsequently brought to Nepal.

INTERPOL had issued a red notice against Sijapati. Nepal Police reported that he was brought to Nepal with the assistance of Interpol, in coordination with the Qatar Police.
