KATHMANDU, Dec 11: Gagan Kumar Thapa and Dr Minendra Rijal are fielding candidacies for the post of General Secretary from Dr Shekhar Koirala’s panel. The two leaders joined Koirala’s panel amid a discussion to announce their nomination for various posts of Nepali Congress (NC) president under its 14th General Convention, currently underway at Kathmandu.

Similarly, Dhanraj Gurung and Chandra Bhandari will be vice-presidential candidates from Koirala’s panel. According to sources, they are preparing to field a nomination at the National Assembly building in Bhrikutimandap.
