Ganga Maya meeting UN official today

KATHMANDU, Jan 9: As part of her efforts to internationalize her struggle for justice, Ganga Maya Adhikari is holding a discussion with UN Resident Coordinator to Nepal, Valerie Julliand in Kathmandu on Wednesday. Lawyers will accompany her during the meeting.

KATHMANDU, Jan 9: As part of her efforts to internationalize her struggle for justice, Ganga Maya Adhikari is holding a discussion with UN Resident Coordinator to Nepal, Valerie Julliand in Kathmandu on Wednesday. Lawyers will accompany her during the meeting. 


She lost her husband in course of staging hunger strike demanding to book those involved in murder of her son, Krishna Prasad during the insurgency.

Her lawyer, Om Prakash Aryal, informed that she has come to the conclusion that the Nepali state is unwilling and unable to deliver justice for her son’s murder and now she wants to remind humankind and the international community of their responsibility to act for justice. 


The 57-year-old Ganga Maya has already announced her wish to visit the United Kingdom, where her son’s murder-accused Rudra Prasad Acharya is hiding, and also to UN Headquarters.
